Baking Up a Storm

Well not really -- more like baking for a storm...lol.

Impossible Pie (I really like the ease and versatility of this recipe.)
leftover Danish ham, rehydrated onion, bell pepper, eggs, cheddar cheese, garlic and herb Mrs. Dash, a dollop of brown mustard, a bit of black pepper, milk and baking mix

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
When we finished I have enough for two small cookie tins full.

Hubby called and said he picked up two loaves of bread so that is taken care of.
I've checked the soup bowls contents and taken out the items I need to round out a pot of veggie soup so I think things are good here.

  2. Those are one of my daughter's favorite cookies! She's supposed to bake today, and although we already pulled a recipe out, I'm thinking we may need to switch to these. That Impossible Pie looks delicious! There's just something about melted cheese...

    1. Lisa, those cookies are almost too good! Even the dog was walking around the kitchen sniffing...lol.

I was glad I had made the quiche. I didn't hear hubby get up this morning and he had already helped himself when I did wake up. It was sweet because he told me "you were sleeping so good!" I was shocked I was that "out."

  3. Hi Shara! I sure hope you don't lose your power today. I know how miserable that can be. Everything in our home is electric too, as well as the water pump that brings in water from the well and lets us flush our toilets.:) There have been a couple of times when we had to pack up and go stay at a hotel in another town. I'm so glad to hear that your MRI experience went better for you this time and that you had such a nice evening at the Italian resturant. We all need a good night out once in awhile! Your quiche and cookies look delicious. I hope you have a cozy afternoon and that the worst part of the storm passes you by. With Love, Delisa :)

    1. Thanks Delisa. Son just called and it is snowing a few counties over so we'll see. Just to be safe they are releasing the students from school and telling everyone to be careful.
